This could well be Peter's birth cert.
The date is about right and the father's name and profession are correct
The location looks reasonable too
This is the census document from 1901. It shows Peter living with his mother and father, three brothers and two sisters in Binnafreaghan, Fallagh, Co Tyrone.
All of the family could speak Irish and English and they could all read and write except for the father
The 1911 census shows only four people left in the family home: the father, his daughter Mary, his son Patrick and his daughter Bridget
Peter is given as a "Widower" while the other three are given as "Single"
If the form has been filled out correctly, then Patrick is no longer able to speak Irish.
This census record from 1911 shows Peter as a "Boarder" in Ballymoney.
His age is given as 21
Peter and Mary Ellen were married in Co Cavan on the 9th of August 1923.
Peter's father (also Peter) was a farmer, as was Mary Ellen's father, Terence
The witnesses were Bernard McCullagh and Sue McCorry
This is Peter's will, drawn up on the 14th of November 1934 presumably while he was in hospital after his accident.
Doubtless this was done for fear that he would not survive his injuries.
He leaves everything to his wife, Mary Ellen, unless she decided to remarry.
He stipulates that money must be used for the "maintenance education and support of all of my children".
He also stipulates that his sister should receive £10 from his estate for the remainder of her life.
Peter's death certificate states that he passed away on the 19th of November 1934, five days after he drew up his will.
I cannot read the cause of death but the word ends with -aemia and so relates to a problem with the blood
This is the probate document from 16th March, 1935.
It confirms that Peter died in a place called Mount Charles in Belfast.
It also confirms the value of the estate and property which Peter left to his wife, Mary Ellen.
